You know what is so easy to forget? How much you miss out on when you're sick. I started getting sick a week ago. I missed three days of work. My mom and I teach at the same school. She would come home telling me everything that has been going on all week and I could not believe it. You don't think that much actually happens until you're not there experiencing it first hand. Over achieving teachers try and change your room. And of course you can't do anything about it until you get back in the classroom. New teachers get trained and you're not there to stand up for them when impatient people, who aren't willing to train them, expect them to know everything without showing them the right way to do it.
Also, you don't just miss out on everything but the few things you try to do are so much harder to do. I thought it was hard enough trying to lead Danceline practice then but man Thursday night's practice and this morning's practice were so much worse. I attempted one turn and the room went spinning...not a fun experience. It's not like I could put someone else in charge. If you're the only officer, you're stuck. And when it came to school, I could barely sit up long enough to stay in my classes. As I type, my migraine and pressure in my head is making it very hard to focus and stare at the computer screen. Ice pack time!!
Note to self: when you get sick, don't wait 4 days to go to the doctor. You get even more sick, miss out on alot, and make your life more difficult.

That's good advice! You should listen to yourself!
