Danceline Dailies

Things with the Pilotline are really getting rolling.  This past Saturday we started planning our fundraisers.  We are selling Skittles and Starbursts.  We also decided to have a car wash.  So, today was our car wash.  We had a great turn out and we had a lot of fun.  What more could you ask for?  This Thursday we are going to stand outside of Wal-Mart with our cutely decorated buckets and try to get donations.  Our goal?  We want to finish one uniform.  Yes, I know that probably doesn't make any since.  When I took an inventory of the uniforms over the summer from when the previous line was together several years ago, we did not have any complete uniform sets.  We had four of one uniform or three of another or five of another.  We did have a new set of performance tops for everyone but NO BOTTOMS!!  Now, does that make since to anyone?  NO!!  So, what are we trying to buy?  Bottoms.  Yes, I think it's funny.

What's not funny is that, yesterday, I found out that we have two more basketball games to perform at the same day we are supposed to make an appearance at a soccer game in three weeks.  So, we just jumped from three performance before November 8th to five.  What is that you see written in my forehead?  "SUCKER."  Yes, that's me.  I'm the fearless leader that has to get all of this planned.  Am I actually fearless?  Oh, no!!  I am so afraid that I am not going to teach my girls something right or I'm going to forget some event we are supposed to go to.  There are so many people who expect us to fail.  And, you know what?  If we do fail, we'll go down fighting.

And, that's where I'll stop because Florida is beating LSU 14-10.  Woo Hoo!!  Go Gators!!

  1. Well I hope you are able to "get it all together." I hope you get a lot of money at Walmart.

  2. Sounds like you are doing a great job. The uniform scrounging reminds me of my days cheering. BTW--Are you really a Gator fan in Tiger country?

  3. Just one thing--in your first paragraph, both uses of "since" should be "sense." I had to point that out!

    Good luck with your busy-ness!
